Hi All,

I use my AW standalone via LTE and wonder if there is a Authenticator app that works in standalone mode.
The Microsoft app requires my iphone as it only sends notifications to the Watch.

Need it for 2FA at work.

Cheers

The frustrating thing is that the Microsoft Authenticator app used to work in standalone on the AW, but then suddenly stopped some time ago. Not sure why 🤷🏼‍♂️

ohnoes :( that is really sad news, i kinda dont want to carry my iphone with me at work haha, my focus on work has increased since i cant browse my phone :p

And according to this support document AW support is now gone for good:

I actually never installed an app on my AW. I guess "standalone" was a poor choice of words. What I meant was that I had the Authenticator app on my phone, and I was able to receive on my AW the notification that an app was trying to authenticate AND I was also, on my AW, able to choose the correct number without ever having to touch my phone. Now all I get is the notification but am unable to do anything with it but dismiss it--there are no number choices except on my phone.

So it was more like the AW Authenticator notifications worked in concert with the app on the iPhone. AFAIK it wasn't actually a separate app installed on the AW.
