Mikmod is a module player and library supporting many formats, including mod, s3m, it, and xm.
Install the package and then copy the icon/launcher to /Applications
Once the program is loaded hit the h key for help. Everything is keyboard driven.
This will not interfere with macports installs, and does not require macports to run.
