Standard USB hub with 2018 MBP via dongle

So, very simple question, will my TP-link USB 3.0 7-port Hub worth without problems if I connect it to MBP 2018 15' via standard Apple standard USB-C to USB dongle. Anyone has similar setup? Should there be any bottlenecks?

Shouldn't be any issue, just inconvenience of using additional dongle.

No need for a dongle in a lot of cases these days. Three years ago yes, but there are a lot of direct USBC cables now, and many of them are relatively inexpensive.

Also a very good point.. forgot that most 7 port desktop hubs tend to have seperate cable.
