Not much of a fan of Staples up here in Canada. Went to get a 64gb usb key, tried to price match, they denied. I walked next door to the futureshop and bought the exact same one for cheaper. Easy money that Staples could have had.

I bet they won't let you put the Apple TV in the 20% off "green" shopping bag!

No but they do show you what people are buying along with that Apple product.
:D

Could depend on the store, I've had definitely mixed experiences. The one I frequent most is in an area of town that's not very busy, so they're pretty "small town" like -- employees there know my name now and say things like "Hey, we haven't seen you for a while, how've you been?" when I drop in. They've bent the rules for me a few times, too, selling me a netbook at the "Saturday morning door crasher" price on the following Monday, or price matching a different brand of USB stick when the one I wanted was out of stock.

Obviously YMMV. I guess the bottom line is, regardless of what the logo looks like above the doors, you should shop at the store you feel comfortable giving your money to.

This is a nice change. Too bad I got laid off back in January when they decided to close 30+ stores nationwide. Bastards  I see where the money got reallocated.

Really? Staples employees need freaking training to be able to allow the wireless keyboard, trackpad, iPad covers and Magic mouse in the stores? You've got to be kidding me.

Incidentally I was in my local Staples today and they have this eensey weensey "Made for Mac" section stocked with cheap plastic iHome wireless keyboards and mice.

Just carry the Thunderbolt display like you do in Canada and I will buy one. I don't need someone to explain how it works.

Just like with employee's in the Apple stores. You don't think they are allowed on the floor without training on how to sell that wireless keyboard do you? They have to be knowledgeable about what they are selling.

As sparkly and pretty as the Apple store is I can't stand the madness in there, I loathe the customer service at Best Buy so I'm cool w Staples, always get better service there anyways and price matching.

Well that is nice, and hopefully they will also be in brick-and-mortar Staple stores. I don't know how many times I've wondered into Staples looking for iPhone specific stuff... always forget.
