    Hello,

I am beginning the process of opening up my iMac to place a new hard drive in it. Apple being apple has very small star screws. I am sure you can find these anywhere, but I am wondering if anyone knows a place where it is guaranteed to be there and save me some time!

    Thanks!

Its called a Torque 6 screw bit.
Usually abbreviated T6 and they are pretty easy to order online.
Newegg has a whole kit that you can get. link

While Apple is far from perfect these screws have been used in a variety of applications from hundreds of manufacturers for the past 10-15 years.

Except your spelling is wrong, It is Torx. Not picking, just thought it would help tj when he searched.

I bought a couple sizes individually at Sears (in the U.S.) about 2 years ago.

Radio Shack in the US would most likely have them too...if you want to physically go into a store.

Home Depot sells a 23-Piece set (9 torx sizes) for about $10.
