Star Trek, definitely.

Although I think it needs to be soaked in a little Honor Harrington for seasoning. Trek gets too inconsistent with itself, and stays on the fluffy side when it shouldn't or doesn't need to. Lazy writing. The Honorverse, though, is chock full of detail and internally consistent across what, 14 books?

I'm really excited to see the new movie. :D

Star Wars!

Trek: if I need to fall sleep I try to watch anything of it, and in less than 3 minutes I'm sleeping.

Who is Dr Who?

I picked Star Wars, I have been a huge fan all of my life. I grew up watching Star Trek too but would have to put Star Wars on top. Doctor Who has never really pulled me in.

Now why wasn't Battlestar included? Talk about the best thing in SciFi NOW, I can't wait for the season to start again in January.

How is there not an all of the above option on the poll?

All 3 are great imho I was recently turned onto Dr Who and its REALLY good.

Doctor Who 1st, Star Trek: The Next Generation 2nd, and Star Wars last. Star Wars always felt a bit too much aimed at the (sci-fi) ignorant masses than the other two.

Doctor Who 1st, Star Wars 2nd, Star Trek 3rd

I miss my weekly Doctor Who, can't wait for X mas for the new....episode? movie? Christmas special? whatever you wanna call it, then I'm gonna miss it for a long time again till the next movie

Star Wars always felt a bit too much aimed at the (sci-fi) ignorant masses than the other two.

Probably because it's fantasy, not science fiction. It has wizards, princesses, magic, guys dueling with swords, and so on. Sure it has a veneer of spaceships and laser guns layered on top, but it's not science fiction.

I have always been a big Star Trek fan. I like Star Wars but am not a fan. It's SciFi, therefore I like SW, too, but ST better. I didn't know Doctor Who until recently. Now I can't get enough of it!

So, it's Doctor Who and Star Trek for me.

I would have voted Star Wars… except those leaden and lumpish clangers aka Star Wars Episodes I—III: The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith spoilt it all.
:(

Personally I can't stand the current Doctor Who… I can't help watching and wondering when David Tennant's eyes are finally going to pop out on stalks. Seems to be his only expression.

IMHO Christopher Eccleston was a far better Doctor.

So no votes for any of them.

I like Star Wars and Star Trek.

Specifically, if nostalgia hits, then I watch:

4 (Original Version(OV)), 5 (OV), 6 (OV), 1, 2 and finish with 3.

If I just want to watch the story, then I watch:

1, 2, 3, 4 (New Version(NV)), 5 (NV) and finish with 6 (NV).

As for Star Trek, the Original Series and TNG are great. I can skip the rest.

On the poll I went with Star Wars.

Where's the "None Of The Above" option?

Quite. I am a huge fan of science. I spend much of my time running a forum dedicated to processing imagery from spacecraft, giving lectures about rovers on Mars, and going to science conferences.

And I don't like any of those options. I'd rate Star Wars about as good as contracting MRSA, Star Trek about as good as a school play, and Doctor Who about as good as the jokes in a Christmas Cracker.

Yes to Red Dwarf too. I probably like that more than Doctor Who and only found out a couple of days ago that Dave have got the old RD gang together for 4 new episodes :D (granted 1 is a making of and 1 is a recap, or something). My mind was blown.

What I like about Who is that it's just 1 lonely chap who travels around. There's a real wanderlust to it and the character himself, though he's been going since the 60's, is still shrouded in mystery. And a bloody brilliant musician behind the new stuff.
