You know you can also play Tomb Raider on a G4? :p

But seriously: yes, you can play "Star Wars: Battlefront" on an old PPC Mac. The original "Star Wars: Battlefront". Not the DLC and microtransaction ridden husk that EA has crapping out.

Oh! I didn't realize there was an older version. I just searched for that with Mac and that was one of the first hits. I'm wanting to play the new one but other than my mini, I don't have anything to play it on.

You're best off building a PC to do that--should be manageable for $600-$1000.

Is that the best way to play it? I doubt it'll run on my mini, and I don't own any consoles. Well, other than a Genesis and Saturn.

As far as PC builds go, I have a case and a PSU. Other than that, I'd have to purchase all the hardware. I can maybe use the ACD that's on my G5. Oh, and a Dell keyboard and mouse I picked up the other day at Goodwill Outlet for $2. Brand new!!

First person shooters are one of those categories that has always been superior on the desktop. Plus, you'll get more customization, higher frame rates, and potentially a higher resolution than any of the consoles offer.
