I was hoping more for X-Wing, Tie-Fighter. They just don't seem to make games like those anymore. Has the dissolution of LucasArts had any impact on your business?

Tie Fighter was the best dog-fight game I've ever played. X-Wing was a great first kick at the can. But man that Tie-Advanced was my fav. NOt even the A-wings ever stood a chance.

If the new controls have one Achilles' Heel, though, it's in the movement. Running from place to place involves dragging and then holding a finger to guide your Jedi in the proper direction. This inevitably blocks a significant chunk of the screen with your hand, and worse yet, makes for awkward running in general.

Gestures work anywhere. Once you turn in the direction you want to face, I just swipe up along one of the edges of the screen and hold. I use the right side in between the HUD. I can see exactly where I'm going. Unless I need a 180 degree turn that needs more space I can usually stay in that area the entire time and not block anything significant.

My wife hates this game. I start playing while she plays on Facebook and next thing you know it's 2 hours later and she's sitting there staring at me like I'm the bad guy.

Well, I bought it. 4 weeks and 47 hours of game play later I finally passed it. I understand why everyone says this is such a great game!

I thought the controls worked well with the exception of the swoop races. I gave up on those mini-quests completely. Trying to swipe just the right amount was pretty ridiculous. Make that part of the game accelerometer-controlled and I'd call it perfect.
