dunno where to ask this question but anyways when I preordered it on iTunes the HD version is only 720 but it's nearly 5 gb. Just wanted to see if that was a possible type error? I thought 720 HD was now 1080?

    Thanks for any help :)

Sense it is pre-order how do you know it will be 720p. I am assuming it will be 1080p like other movies. Maybe a setting in iTunes allows for the download of 720p instead.

I thought Apple only sold 1080 for hd now. Just shock it will be 720 since it's a big hit movie lol. The other Star Wars movies are 1080

My guess is that's probably just placeholder data until the movie is actually released to iTunes.

Star Wars will definitely be available in 1080p. You can download HD movies in both 720p and 1080p resolution. If you want the 1080p versions, enable the option "download full HD" (or similar) in Preferences/Store. That will also change the store pages to display the file size of the 1080p version (although the pages for preorders may not be accurate).
