Hello,

I've been advised to set my iPhone up from new to try to identify whether I have a software or hardware issue. I normally restore from a device backup but this time need to start from scratch.

I know I can get most data back as I log back into my cloud accounts etc. I'm not concerned about that.

Things like app layout and settings, I can easily re enter later on.

My main query is whether there is anything I may forget or might lose. I know I ahve some apps that don;t store their data in iCloud storage whcih I will lose but I can deal with that.

The main one is: Is Apple Watch activity data stored within the Health app and will that come back when I sign into iCloud or not?

Anything else that I should remember to either write down or prepare to lose?

Open iCloud settings and turn on every toggle (Health covers activity data). Most things should be synced to iCloud nowadays.

I think the only thing you‘ll lose is app data for apps without iCloud sync.

I am also curious about the Activity app awards and history. I would like to set my phone up as new also but do not want to lose any of my activity data.

Just a note here. The Activity data was backed up in iCloud and all worked as expected.

So you get all the awards and achievement history back?
Yup, My Activity app still has all activity data and awards etc. All still there. It obviously is included in the Health app data stored in iCloud.
