Start Fresh or Restore from Backup?

So, I think I'm going to start with a fresh new phone when my 8 Plus gets delivered. I have 25,000+ photos stored in iCloud right now and I'd rather start with a fresh, empty photo library.

What do you usually do?

I start fresh with every new phone. Just feel like it's a better experience although it could be in my head.

I have used backup for years and have never had a problem.

The current profile I have now is the same one I had when I started with iPhone in 2011 with a 3GS. It's been brought forward as a backup each time and it has suvived jailbreaks on iOS 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9.

But I have a process that works for me and has kept corruption out of the backup.

Don't have anywhere near as many photos as you do though.

However, I could lose everything I have right now and there wouldn't be any issues. Anything important is backed up and removed from my device. I don't leave anything on my devices I cannot afford to lose.
