I've gota mid 2007 2.16ghz macbook and my topcase has broken and won't work. How do you start up the macbook with out the topcase ?
Thanks.

there are 2 metal contacts below the fan (and above the Combo/SuperDrive cable) that show a power symbol. It's an O with a line going down the top. take a flathead screwdriver and place it over those 2 metal leads to start it without the top case

Yeah thats what i read some where else, but my logicboard doen't have that.

it may have a printed "Pwr btn" instead of the symbol, or something similar. It's in tiny white font and you may have to do some searching for it
