The camera is 0.77MM tall so as long as you get the 0.80MM Rock Clear Case (pictured) you're all set. It's the thinnest and best quality clear case that gives you good camera, lie-on-table, and drop protection. I've tried them all, compared about a dozen to each other while traveling in Asia where selection is plentiful, trust me on this one, it's what you want.

It's grey (not clear) and it doesn't specify its height (they make .6 and .7 models, you want a .8 for camera protection).

There are so many on eBay you should be able to find a Rock .8mm Clear and do it right.

BJ

Thanks, I'll just use the link you sent.

I'm using the Rock 0.8mm Ultrathin Soft TPU in transparent black for my Space Gray iPhone 6. I also have on the Rearth screen protector. While the case is very thin there is enough lip for lay on the table and there is also a lip around the camera lens cutout.

How is the rearth screen protector? I have the fusion cases and they came with and wanted to know how's the quality? It looks good on your phone

Still a lot of room on that counter, surprised you didn't show us some more possessions

I think the quality of the screen protector is pretty good, i've had it on for about a month and dropped my phone about 3 times from waist down onto hardwood floor. So far thankfully everything is still fine. There was one time I thought it scratched but after wiping the screen with a wet wipe, it went away. So everything still looks new.

T-Tech by Tumi - its also available in red/black. Has a more square profile like the iPhone 5 cases and is very grippy with the ballistic nylon on back/sides. I think I found my perfect iPhone 6 case!

No Amex black card? Pretty pedestrian if you ask me

I'm still real conflicted especially that I'll be waiting forever for it to get here from China kind of want a permanent one already. Do you think with a 7mm it'd still clear the camera?

Thanks for the pictures

No problem. The link I posted on the last page is from a seller that's located in California, not China.

Can you post an up close shot of the lens and case from an angle, you or BJ please?

I want to see if I can get away with a 7mm Rock case whole still protecting my camera.

According to what I've read, the camera protrudes 7.7mm so the Rock 7.0mm wouldn't cover it.

But...

It is very possible that there is only one Rock TPU case and it's 8.0mm and all this talk of these other shorter derivatives don't exist, it's just bad internet copy.

I gave it to my girlfriend.

Funny you should mention that, I just picked up a Rock Clear TPU case tonight for $11 in Hong Kong and the buttons are extremely stiff.

It's hands-down the best looking TPU clear case I've seen, and it is thicker than some of the others (in a good way) because it gives a really strong impact protection, facedown protection, and covers the camera protrusion too. It's better build quality then some of the others and I get the sense it won't yellow either. But the buttons are really stiff, no getting around that.

What's cool about walking around the computer district in Hong Kong for a few hours is that I was able to touch and feel almost every case for the iPhone 6 that has been talked about in this thread for the past month. The Rock case in question is a rarity as it is thicker and more durable and more protective than several of the other TPU cases we have seen and I have owned.

BJ
Did the buttons end up loosening up?

Very tempted to pull the trigger will probably get the 7mm then get this one if it offers no camera protection.

1. Slightly, over time.

2. I still believe there is only one of these Rock TPU cases despite what eBay sellers say and its .8mm.

I don't think so because if you look at the one AndyACECandy posted that he says is 7mm it doesn't have a lifted edge around the camera. Your guys 8mm has a ring/edge around it, his looks a lot slimmer too. I don't think its the 6mm either because that one sits flush as some have said and he said his protects his camera. He last posted the pics of it yesterday hopefully he can clarify and see if it says anything about actual size on his box.
