And after a while it starts to beep.
I am using os 10.4.9

Yes It dose i can see the cursor/mouse

Meh. We need more information about your system. If it's a macbook you can try pulling the harddrive out and back in, if it's a MBP then it's no dice

IT is just a Mackbook Not a pro..
when i try to hit c to bot from the oc cd nothing happens after like a minuet it will just eject the cd
Do u think it is a bad hard drive..?

Have you tried pulling the hard drive and reinserted it? link to mac DIY

It might be the hd that has gone.

I get the same thing on my MBP (SR 2.2GHz) every once in awhile. I notice it happens whenever I boot up after it's been off for several hours (about 4+hrs). Restarting it again works fine for me. But it is annoying!
