stupidly ive started to manually uninstall lightroom, dragging all of the files to the trash, i now have a new copy i wish to install (don't ask) but it wont let me because it says 'You cannot install Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 1.3 on this volume. A newer version of this software already exists on this volume.' what can i do???

If you're trying to circumvent hidden files because you've taken your free trial copy and acquired a copy that is not on trial and probably not legit you can always use app zapper. I believe they're charging for the application now so you're probably going to have to "find" the application first and then us it.

App Zapper will delete all associated files so you can use your "legit" copy.
