A friend of mine (works at a high-school as one of the 'tech heads') asked me how to start a TV studio the other day. I don't really know, thus why I am asking you. Essentially what they want to be able to do is to have the announcements broadcast throughout the school every morning. They just got an iMac G5 the other day, and will be getting another, C2D model, soon.

He wanted to know what programs he should use, how he would go about doing it, and he could also any extra background information/tips you guys have. Is it also possible to make a podcast out of it? Forgot to mention that they aren't running Tiger, probably Panther then.

Thanks! :)

Behind the lens
You need some serious equipment.

Id talk to the IT/AV person at the school.

You need something that takes your signal, from the computer I assume, and outputs to a specific channel on your CCTV that I assume your school already has?

Typically, this is NOT simple, NOT cheap, and NOT as easy as it seems.
