I've recently parted ways with my boyfriend and want to put the songs from my iTouch on a new account for myself instead of the previously shared account we had. How can I do this? The songs are clones of our CDs that got split up as well.

You can use sharepod (available at getsharepod.com) to copy every song from your iPod onto you PC.

And sorry to hear about the breakup. :(

You have to pay for sharepod now. It looks like a company bought them and now they charge for unlimited transfers. I remember the good old days when sharepod was completely free. Try to find an earlier version maybe.

    Thanks!

I'm looking into Sharepod. Even for $20 it is worth it! That is much cheaper than going out and getting the CDs all over again or asking him for them. I imagine he is in the same boat as I am when it comes to our music, but this too is life.

Lame! I still have the earlier versions thankfully, thanks for the heads up!

Best of luck in recovering the music. :)
