Startup chime changed!

Did anyone else noticed that the startup chime is different on Big Sur??? 😱
installed Big Sur on my MBP retina mid 2015 yesterday and at first I thought that I might misheard, but they changed the chime!!!
its more "fuzzy" than the original one!
GIVE ME MY CHIME BACK!!!

Nothing changed here on a NcMP other than there is a chime unlike Catalina where there was no chime unless activated by the user in Terminal.

Yes, the chime is a little different now.

i have it off on both my macs. how is it different? i could swear, when it re-appeared in big sur, that it sounded same as always...

The startup chime on some macs was updated in BS 11.0.1. The new chime seems shorter with a subtly different timbre.

I installed Security Update 2020-001 (Catalina), and the startup chime changed as well.
