Hey everyone..I'm new to the forums, but have looked at this site for a long time. This is a petty question, but it's been bothering me...

Is there a way to make the gray start-up image with the Apple logo your background? I've been looking in .jpg's and .gif's and spotlight to no avail. Looked in the system folder with no luck. Just wondering if anyone else has found it, or knows a website that has it. Thanks a lot!

It's actually stored inside of the bootloader. You can search on the internet for an Application for PowerPC Macs that makes it really easy to change it to anything you want, and there's a tutorial for Intel ones, but if you have an Intel, you might as well forget about it, since it sounds practically impossible.
