startup/login window resolution

I'm using DisplayConfigX on my mini duo along with my olevia (cheap) 26" via DVI. I have osx set to 1280x720 with displayconfigx but the apple logo at startup and login window are still stretched out. how do i make it the same resolution?? thanks!!
