Where did I suggest that it be cheaper?

In your previous you seem to balk at $35 for 3 channels of content. 3 Channels.... Not $35 for 3 shows. Now call me crazy but with the amount of content currently provided on those 3 channels, $35 is a deal. All that content costs a crap tonne to license and/or produce. These channels usually get a per subscriber fee from pay tv providers to have them as part of their offering. Which they get even if you do not subscribe to the channel. They make less money offering it a-la-carte as Starz does here. This is just them trying to capture non-pay tv subscribers.

Just to piggyback on what you said: HBO and Showtime always have a show airing that I will watch. GoT, Veep, Silicon Valley, Girls, Billions, shameless, Ray Donovan, Ballers, west world (when it ever starts)

What is the deal with Discovery Go, no comcast/verizon/dish/etc access??

I'm really not sure as well. It's pretty disappointing that they don't support FiOS/Comcast and much of the other big cable/satellite providers. I don't know if the holdup is on Discovery's end or the cable companies end.

Starz only available in U.S, it's a start.. hope will be available in more places. Definitely gonna buy Apple TV now:)

I would! And the same people who don't want to pay money for overpriced services like Netflix and HBO, after all Starz was the one started the mini-series trend like Marco Polo and Game Of Thrones

How is Netflix overpriced?

Just read on another site that it is a unified app that DOES let current cable users to access the content. The other interesting thing is, it lets you download content also, rather than only stream. I'm sure it's limited, but I don't think I've seen that before.
Unless you subscribe via Comcast!! Comcast is not listed as a Starz provider even though many of us get Starz thru Comcast. We could use the old app, but not the new app

Seriously.... You all have no clue how expensive it is to create quality content.
i wonder if your boss came to you and said: hey you do great work, but now I want to pay you less for the same quality of work you now do. I'm very sure you would object. But you want other to get paid less for their work. Seems fair

I don't net millions and billions of revenue like these service providers and actors do, either. So my boss wouldn't do that. It's not quite the same.

I'm getting zero sound from the left surround speaker with any 5.1 content in the Starz app. Anyone else experiencing that? All of the other speakers have sound, and the left surround works fine with other Apple TV apps, so it seems specific to the Starz app.

I'm using just my TV speakers and I've found that with the Staz app, I really have to crank the volume up to hear music/dialogue. I don't experience that with the other apps, so I'm thinking this is an issue specifically with the Starz app as well.

STARZ APP FAIL.
Sound continually failing - randomly going silent - have to rewind to get it to work again - then rebooted Apple TV (v4 32gb) and it seemed to go away for a while - then happened again.
Soundtracks are compressed so there are no loud passages - kept checking the swipe down apple Audio option "no loud sounds" compress but it was not on... don't understand why a Dolby 5.1 stream sounds so bad... (Avengers Age of Ultron)
At the end of Pixar's CARS - so many pixels changing that the frame rate went down to about 5 and it was unwatchable.
I don't have any of these issues with Netflix, HBO, Hulu or ShowTime.
