This is going to sound odd, but has anybody experienced what I can only best describe as static electricity while charging their X? If I run my fingers along the stainless steel it creates an almost buzzing sensation. If I unplug the phone, it goes away. I've never experienced this before. It doesn't hurt...it's kind of neat, but it also seems like it might be a problem of some sort... either with the phone or possibly the charging cable? Thoughts?

Is this with a genuine apple cable and plug?
Can you duplicate it with another genuine apple cable and plug?

It's a genuine apple cable but maybe it's gone bad. I'll try a different one and see if that fixes it. Probably the most likely issue now that you mention it.

Its normal apparently and I've had it with lots of Apple devices over the last few years. Just enjoy the pleasurable, tactile feeling you get from it. I'm only surprised Jony Ive doesn't claim credit for it as a design feature in those videos he makes.
