Static noise in the spaker (4S)

I noticed a static noise in my external spaker, when using skype. Never noticed on my previous iP4. Is this normal?

Surely not normal. Restore it via iTunes and if that doesn't solve it, hit up the Genius Bar.

There's only one speaker and apparently it sounds like static.
