My roommate works for Walmart and if you want the iphone4 I would reccomend staying away! Here's why: He works in a decently large store and they are getting 1 (!) black 16 gb. The largest volume stores are getting at most 5 phones. Some of the biggest stores are getting 25-30 8gb 3gs iPhones but only a couple of 4's. They have a tool where you type in a store number to see how many someones getting so he put in the biggest stores in CA, NY and TX and the MOST anyone was getting was 5. On top of that Walmart WILL NOT stock the 32gb model at all! So if you want a 4, there are probably better places to go.

I wasn't really going to try Wal-Mart anyway, but thanks for sharing what you heard. I had heard they weren't stocking 32GB, so that clinched it for me.

are you just saying all of this so that you'll have a better chance on getting a iPhone come Thursday?

(yes, I'm being sarcastic)

I wouldn't buy an iPhone from Walmart if you paid me to. I want a 32gb. I've had 2 iPhones (2g and 3gs) and both came straight from Apple. Walmart shouldn't even be selling them since most of the employees are too uneducated to even use one!

This whole thread gives a whole new meaning to apple elitists.

Does your roommate fall into that category?

Let me clarify

Ok, let me clarify the uneducated part of my post. What I said came out wrong. By uneducated is that Walmart management does not train their associates on the ins and outs of activation, usage and troubleshooting. They are uneducted on the iPhone not in life. Sorry if that came out wrong.
