I have avoided upgrading to yosemite from mavericks until this week and I regret tremendously!

I do own a mid 2009 MBP 13inch and was afraid Yosemite would slow the system down. I am planning to get a new Mac in July when back-to-school promotion starts and decided to give Yosemite try on my 2009 MBP. It is much faster and smoother than Mavericks. I read a lot of horror stories with 2009 MBP running Yosemite but my experience is totally positive. It even made me consider my decision on purchasing a new MBP!

Do the fonts and high contrast colours of Yosemite not annoy you?

El Capitan will be even better than Yosemite because it is mostly under-the-hood improvements, like in Snow Leopard. So upgrade to El Capitan when it comes out.
