What would be those observations and reasoning? It'd be good to know if something is in fact taking somewhere in the range of a day or so to start-up/initiate.

You look at the way animations unfold. If they have a slight pause before starting the background task was already running. If they stutter, the animation has triggered the task. If they pause near the end the task was started but not related to the animation. Lots of tasks create a slight slow motion in animations. If the phone is slightly warm and keeps its temperature while using the app you are dealing with background cpu usage. If it heats up periodically it's the app's fault. If I remember more I'll write them. But I pick up these things subliminally, after using many types of electronics

I've certainly experienced all of those things at one time or another. I guess what would be hard to say based on that, or even really much of anything else, is that they are related to some type of startup processes, and more so, that they would imply that there's something going on for upwards a day in time after starting/restarting a phone.

Interesting. Sounds like he is running Windows 3.1 with 32K ram It took awhile to boot if i remember. Not sure iOS takes 24 hrs to boot. Guess I never realized. I will not restart my device as often now if it takes that long to start up. Good to know.

Stay with 6.1 or move on to 6.3

Why are you asking for my opinion if you will stick with your belief anyway?
