Does anyone else’s series 5 stay on, even when off your wrist?

Many times I find that my display stays on overnight and kills my battery.
Sometimes the heart rate sensor lights up, and kills it even quicker.

I know I can turn it off, but I don’t want to have to every time I remove it from my wrist.

Anyone else have this?

Thought it was a software bug, but several updates later still no fix.

Just tried that with mine, and no, the display goes dark after a moment. It also goes dark immediately if I set the watch on its side.

You might want to contact Apple about that.

Mine goes off but then the green wrist green lights light up for several seconds. The display stays dimly lit for about a minute even after the green lights go off. After about two minutes it shut down again this time for good as several minutes later it was still off.

If I take my watch off I usually place it on a charger so I would not really notice if this happens all the time.

It sometimes is off when I place it down on a table, but when I wake up sometimes the display is showing. It seems that it thinks the watch is on my wrist when lying on a surface. I may contact Apple about this yes.
