Steam is 32bit

Even if I reinstall it, it is still 32 bit and I'm sure the 64 bit version has been around for a while now. I'm running Mojave on iMac late 2015. What is wrong? This is going to go all pear shaped when I upgrade to Catalina.

According to this, Steam is now 64 bit. Delete yours and install the 64 bit version.

I did that though and it's still 32 bit, I have no idea what's going on.

That's weird. I just reinstalled mine and now mine is 64 bit. Mine was 32 bit before when I checked in System Report.

I just checked in the same legacy software section and it's STILL 32 bit even with a fresh installation.

Ooh, yeah, you're right...me too still. I was just looking in the 'Applications' section and Steam shows 64 bit (Intel) - YES

Legacy Software in the System Report seems to be a bit wonky. Might try the terminal command listed in this thread (seem to recall that works better, but have not done in a while since I'm fully 64-bit now).

Steam is definitely a 64-bit with a fresh installation, as it runs in Catalina.

I did have problems trying to update it, but a fresh installation did the trick.
