And just now Ubisoft are showing off games for next gen systems that are beyond what any iDevice can do. What would the market be? Ouya has already shown the market doesn't care for playing mobile games on their TVs.

I wouldn't compare Ouya to Apple. And Apple has shown that the market cares more about playing mobile games on iOS rather than Android, so I think a future gaming equipped Apple TV has huge potential in the living room.

Yea I've seen the trailers and gameplay footage of Far Cry 4 and the next Uncharted. I agree that they look mind blowing and amazing. Co-op looks particularly spiffy on FC4.

But so what if you can show the latest and greatest games on a console? I have never believed that graphics are everything to gaming. I think it's funny and telling how an inferior console like the Wii outsold it's more powerful systems competitors last generation and the DS has continued to trump the more powerful PSP in two consecutive generations. And lastly, that iOS has trumped both DS and PSP over the last few years in sales.

To each their own, but I'm extremely excited for the prospects of gaming on my Apple TV, especially if I can cross-play between the same titles on my iOS device.

I'm a 2D game designer/creative director so I know about the relationship between gameplay and graphics. It's not just about the graphics but they do have to match they gameplay, they can't be something disposable any more and need to have value.

To the fanboys yes platform does matter but nobody else cares. If someone really wanted mobile games on their TV they would have bought an Ouya. It's a new platform after all with it's own titles.

It'll be interesting to see how Vita TV (or Playstation TV in Europe/US) performs. It's a little device like an Ouya and Apple TV that runs streaming services, but can play PS1, PSP, PS mini/Mobile and PS Vita games on your TV and act as a PS4 streamer. It's really neat but it hasn't been doing great in Japan, and that's the device you'd expect to do great since Sony has a vast library of titles and an existing customer base.

I think the PlaystationTV looks great and I feel like Sony got a leg up on Apple with its gaming features (well, assuming what we think might be gaming on an Apple TV) but it's really strange that all those features and game libraries are not appealing much in Japan. I thought the PS4 streamer in particular sounds awesome. Makes me wish Apple could implement that feature into Macs so you could play higher end games to your Apple TV. I know Steam has introduced streaming just recently too but it would be nice to do this to the Apple TV. But as it is right now, Airplay is just way too laggy.

80-100 dollars i suppose...screw that...i got me ps3/ps4 controller...and just a jailbreak..and it saves me about 70 bucks....
