SteelSeries Nimbus connected to a Mac

I have a steel series Nimbus and Tried connecting it to my 2012 iMac and it will say connected and not connected and repeat 20x a minute.

I downloaded the SteelSeries Engine 3 but that doesn't even seem to work right. I've tried connecting via a lighting cable as well with no luck.

Any ideas?

according to the Apple's site it's only compatible with these devices:

• iPod touch 6th Generation

Apple TV Models

• Apple TV (4th generation)

Did you find a work around? I just got two today as gifts but as you know they don't work with a MacBook Pro

Mine is working fine with my 2015 rMBP.


https://steelseries.com/gaming-controllers/nimbus says compatible with Mac as well.
