Steinheil anti-fingerprint film for 3GS

Unfortunately yes, it is only available there. I am kicking myself now for not ordering it earlier. I too have used both PS and this film, and this is superior by far to the PS antiglare film. I hope they get stock back really soon.

Saw a review on youtube, think it was Applegurl and she said the same and that the Steinheil is brighter too. I just got it and have to say it kicks the hell out of the new 3GS screen. The fingerprints are most definitely gone.

It's really nice. Hope everyone can get it soon. Was going with just the screen but then heard about some scratching from 3GS owners, so went with the Steinheil.

Never going back. It's too good. 😉
 
I just put one of these on my 3GS and I have to be honest, I don't notice much difference between these and the PS Anti-Glare. Maybe slightly brighter, but the frostiness seems similar to me as well as the grain on white backgrounds.

Three hours later...

After using the phone for a few hours I do think these show the screen a little crisper than the PS ones. It also seems to be a static cling but I'm still waiting to hear from SGP.
 
^^ its static cling if you didn't not need any extra material to make it stay ont he screen and if its easily removable.

I have been using it for a couple weeks

I love the Steinheil I find it more resident to finger prints then Apples oleophobic screen. I have one sheet unused I will have to keep a eye on there sight to order more. personally I love the stuff.

Are you sure they're static cling? The website says "silicon adhesive" - sounds like some type of glue to me.
 
It does go on like static cling, however there is still an adhesive to it. If you don't believe me, call them. They will also claim it's okay to use on the 3GS. So it's your call to use it or not.

The SGP store is now indicating "Usually ships within 24 hours". Looks like these are now available again... and I just picked up the PS film yesterday.
 
For the past 8 years or so, since I first started using PDAs and all other touch-screen devices, I have used a screen protector.

With the iPhone, I have tried many and settled on this protector. The anti-fingerprint texture really works, but the screen is dulled in the process.

Since I got the 3GS, however, I have gone naked! It is very hard for me, but the screen is so nice and so easy to clean. I don't know how long this will last, but I don't think I could put this film on there right now.

For those that DO want anti-fingerprint, it works, but the crispness is diminished.
 
Any more information on the Steinheil protectors?

I have some Crystal Clear protectors that I used on my 3G and loved but I'm now afraid of using them on my 3GS...

It depends on what you actually prefer, the crystal films do offer clarity but it won't give you a peace of mind on smudges/fingerprints on your screen. On the other hand, SGP anti-fingerprint will protect you from those at the cost of clarity - it has a little grainy effect.
 
I just got mine in the mail and I already miss the crystal clear film I had prior


This is so blurry. I have to zoom in. To see sometimes
maybe I just need to get use to it but not havin fingerprints is nice

I'll wait a few more days maybe I'll get use to it

You'll get used to it 😉 well I did since I really prefer no fingerprints/smudges on my screen. At least SGP is a little bit clear compared to PS Anti-glare.

You had improper installation, you have to reapply it again, make sure to clean the area with bubbles since there's a high possibility there's lint beneath it (if you see a speck)
