hi all,

Does anyone know of any good step count apps that update every time I make a step? So I can see how many step I've taken straight away?

Can't seem to find any?

I don't believe any of them are truly live, I looked into it a little while ago.

Apple limits updates on all complications to about every 10-20 minutes. So at least to date, there are none that update live on the watch face. This is a battery saving feature, it seems. If you wanted to run a workout with a dedicated app, then you could see steps update while the workout was running.

I Have Pedometer++ but find it is always different then what is listed in the health app. Often is off by a few hundred steps a day.

You can look at the actual data in the health app. Apple will combine iPhone and Apple Watch data, attempting to ignore steps with the same time stamps, but counting both devices when they differ.

I have not tested Pedometer++ to compare how it handles combining (or not) steps from multiple devices, but I don't think it is currently possible for developers to use the same routine that Apple uses in the Health app. (At least it was not a while ago when I investigated this.)

Do you get step counts on your watch and on your fone? As mind never are the same? Until I go into the app? Why that?

You should read David Smith's blog where he explains how Pedometer++ actually does a better job than the health app.
