100% correct. Especially as F1 is returning home next year.

But if they have the Top Gear guys I'll be watching with the sound off. They're ok for TG but I think they'd ruin F1.

Is that true or just a rumour?

It's basically the same team as they have now I think, but without The Cock™

James Allen?

I had to check as I work with some people who think Brundle is a cock:confused:

This is the only time I'll actually praise Fox (well, this and bringing Family Guy back): Speed has a very good commentating team for F1. Certainly better than the British Yogi Berra.

Murray Walker

I have no problems with paying for a TV License. The BBC's output is fantastic - too many amazing programmes to mention. To be able to watch them without commercial breaks is a godsend that I never take for granted. To top it all off, their websites take some beating in terms of depth and design. (all imho ;) )

Come back when you can show me a media outlet (especially in Western Europe or North America) that is completely without bias.

I think our media is fairly reasonable compared to some parts of the world.

The Times is owned by Rupert Murdoch, he hates the BBC as he can't walk all over them. So its a totally unreliable source on this issue.

Its a blog, and not only that but its clearly an anti BBC blog so can't be taken seriously at all.

Well given the list of well sourced criticisms of their content on Wikipedia, they don't exactly look "fair and balanced". Though to be honest I've never heard of them before.

Did you just slag off the man, the legend, Murray Walker??

Some people just don't understand.

The Murray Walker / James Hunt team was utterly fantastic. Most people only remember the Murrayisms in the last few years of his commentating. Murray started commentating in 1949 his knowledge surpasses anyone!

For what the BBC offers in return (TV, radio and internet) I think the license fee is fair, especially with the amount of quality programming they provide. It's definitely one of the most level-headed news outlets available widely in this country.

wow fully refuted with 3 ad hominem well done.

unfortunately the bbc is pretty much the pravda of the labour party at the moment, my point is that its own charter states it should be impartial and not the mouthpiece of the state.

They were indeed fantastic. James Hunt was never afraid to voice his opinions on any driver whatsoever.
