I've been shooting QTVR panos with a One Shot Optic for about 6 months - and my part time gig has been growing fine. Lately though, I'm getting fed up with having to do so much work in Photoshop to cover up the imperfections that occur with this method. Consider this: Using an 8Mpx camera you only net just over 4Mpx using that optic 
My customers aren't complaining, but I feel it's time to step it up a notch. Below is the shopping list for my new rig. Most likely I'll be able to shoot in about the same amount of time - I was doing 4 to 6 exposures per view with the Kaidan optic anyways - and now my panos will be 6X 8Mpx I can't wait to redo my portfolio.
