Click to expand... You don't need your phone. Watch will measure your hand swings to calculate steps.

ZebraDude macrumors 65832 Sep 18, 2016 #4 Don't forget that the watch needs the phone with it for the first 20 minutes to calibrate. Then it's good to go without the iPhone.
