I just set up a stereo pair of HomePods with audio defaulted to an AppleTV. Chime slider won’t go on for them and there’s no option for Intercom. Is this normal behavior for a stereo pair? Thanks.

I have two HomePods set up as a stereo pair and they are set as the default audio output for my Apple TV 4K. My intercom works so I assume it should work for yours. What do you mean by chime slider?

Ok, I got it backwards. There’s no option for chime in the HomePod settings and the Intercom settings slider doesn’t move to on.

HomePods can be used in conjunction with a HomeKit video doorbell to chime when someone presses the doorbell button. They make a “ding dong” sound when the doorbell is pressed. I’m not getting the option to turn it on for the stereo pair. These would be the “Family Room” HomePods.

Retracting on this thread. I removed them as default ATV speakers and then unpaired them as a stereo set. Rebooted each HomePod individually then repaired the stereo set and added back as default ATV speakers. The intercom slider can now be set to on and the chime option popped up... in case anyone runs into a similar problem, here was my solution.
