What would be some good stereo speakers for new Mac mini 2018? For Netflix, Youtube and music collection.

Edit:
Wired or Wireless. Originally was envisioning wired because that is what I have had in the past. But open to all ideas.

Thank you for your thoughts!

What is your budget for both price and size.?

The best bang per buck will be to buy a pair of studio monitors. Assuming you have the budget the best sound will be from the 8" size but go smaller if these are more then you can afford.

The Yamaha is outstanding an is nearly an industry standard

At the other end of the size spectrum. These pretty good and fit on a desktop. You might want to use small stands to raise them up about 6 inches and don't place then to near a wall, move them out a foot or more if you can

Another option is to go with a 2.1 or 5.1 Soundbar. The previous Minis supported optical audio out of the 3.5mm headphone jack, I would be surprised if they dropped that.

So, 3.5mm to optical TOSLink cable such as Belkin can send audio out to the sound bar. I use this solution for an old home theater amp\speakers and it works great.

Soundbars come in a lot of sizes, so you should be able to find one that would sit under your monitor(s) and many wirelessly send sub and satellite speaker signals so you can get surround sound without having to run wires everywhere. Here is an example which can take HDMI from the Mini and pass it through to the monitor, or take TOSLink from the Mini.
