Walter Isaacson's biography of Steve Jobs is getting longer.

As noticed by Setteb.it, the Steve Jobs hardcover now weighs in at 656 pages, up from 448 pages. Presumably at least some of this increased length is related to the inclusion of stories about Jobs' resignation from Apple, Inc. last month.

We confirmed the page number change with publisher Simon & Schuster's publicity department, which also re-confirmed the book's November 21, 2011 release date.

It should be a very interesting read... Eventually!

I am really looking forward to getting this, have pre ordered it on Hardback but will probably get it on iBooks also.

"Job's resignation from the company?"

That's news to me. He did not resign from the company. He resigned as the company's CEO.

I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.

I think MobileMe users should get this for free for all the crap we had to put up with.

Can't wait for it to be out!

I'm concerned that the cover is white. I hope they don't have manufacturing issues. Will a black cover version be available?

I normally don't read these kind of biographies, but this should be very interesting.

Audiobook hopefully.

Nice

I hope it stays interesting with that many pages. I read the Keith Richards book and it was great and about 100 pages less, iirc.

I'll buy the hardcover version when I go to a bookstore. I just wish they used a different photo for the cover. It's a pretty poor image... the lighting on his right eye looks amped up and disproportional to the rest of the lighting in the photo. Also the floating hand coming up is a tinge awkward.

Does it have a magsafe connection?

If that were to fall off the table onto your foot, it would cause some serious damage!

Also - I think it would be pretty cool if, when the book is closed, an Apple logo appears on the screen of the Mac on the back cover and slowly pulsates bright white!

Can't wait for it to come out, most iconic figure of my lifetime, I hope too that there is an audiobook version spoken by Steve released in the future.

I'd be disappointed if the majority of MacRumors members that purchase the book, don't purchase an electronic version.

I can't stand reading books electronically. I'm now on book 5 of ASOIAF, all read either from trade paperback or hard cover. Give me paper and soft light any time. Much more relaxing and less distraction prone.
