Steve: "How's the book coming?"
Walter: "Good, but I can't figure out how to end it..."

I really LOLed at this :D

But this topic is something I was actually wondering about yesterday. Because I remember reading that the book print had been finalized. But I'm certainly glad to hear it will be included.

Now I just need to decide if I will get it in hardback or iBook format... I want it in hardback, but I also kinda want my first iBook purchase ever to be Steve's biography...

Would it be really nerdy of me to buy both? Haha. I wish there was some discount if you bought both

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; fr-fr) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile/8B117)

I have a feeling that I won't be able to read rumor sites until I'm done reading that book. #spoileralert

I'm only somewhat embarrassed to admit that as soon as I heard Jobs was resigning, I looked to see if the resignation would be included in this biography… and then pre-ordered it.

I just checked the stock price and had a restless night....

I really had to look twice, if it really was a toilet paper dispenser in the back of the rear cover photograph.

I'll admit I thought the references to Apple stock price in the thread yesterday made me a little uncomfortable.

Not that it isn't important. A lot of people have a tremendous fraction of their financial future tied up in Apple stock.

But I see that Apple is only down about $4.50 as of right now. I think most analysts and investors had already priced a possible departure into the stock; and this announcement, while sad, can hardly come as a big surprise. More importantly, I think the relatively muted market reaction speaks volumes about the team, and the culture, Jobs has created at Apple. Apple customers and investors can look forward to several generations of iProducts bearing Steve Jobs' imprint.

I pre-ordered it on Amazon last night. Didn't want an iBook or Kindle edition- this is one thing I'll definitely have to have the hardback for.

He planned this...!

Yeah...right. How diabolical. He planned to get a life threatening illness (one has to think that his health has taken a drastic turn for the worse) that would force him to resign his position at the company he loves so he can push book sales. Brilliant analysis.

Every time I see that picture with Jobs with the Mac in his lap I can't help but notice what looks to be, at first glance to me, anyway, a roll of toilet paper or paper towels on the wall behind him.
Yes, I know it's part of the mantle of his fireplace.

You obviously can't take a joke.

I want to pre-order through Amazon. However, does anyone have any pre-order experience with Amazon? What shipping needs to be chosen in order to receive the item on the day it is released?

Things look bleak

That Steve agreed to cooperate in a biography has always struck me as surprising. I worry that it may be because he knew he was on his way out. I hope I'm wrong, but yesterday's announcement makes things look pretty bleak. Get well soon Steve!

I remember thinking the same years ago when I first saw that photo.

My first though when I saw the book cover was "look, it's the bog roll photo". :)

Every time I see this picture of young Steve, I think he's sitting in a bathroom with a roll of toilet paper on the wall behind him (instead of a scroll). Bad cropping! Haha.
