My iPhone 2G has had this Steve Jobs cartoon on it for the last couple of days and I am so frustrated because I just can't get rid of it. I've tried everything I've read and can think of and nothing is working!

Most people who've had a similar problem are saying that iTunes doesn't recognise their phone but iTunes recognises mine fine so the magical 'DFU mode' doesn't do anything for me.

I am getting the message that says it needs to be restored yet when I try to restore it, as soon as the loading bar appears under the apple, I get unknown error 28 and back to the Steve Jobs cartoon.

I have tried re-jailbreaking it but only getting more error messages, as well as trying to downgrade to 2.0 or 2.0.1 but then it freezes on the apple with the loading circle.

Can anyone help? Any ideas at least?

I have tried all that, it's just so frustrating not being able to fix it.
