I'm surprised no troll has said this, but:
Great! Let's get the Apple lawyers down so we can sue the museum for infringing on the iPhone design patents! Those giant things, they are mighty iPhone-like.

/troll

Ok just a joke that popped into my mind when I saw this. No offence to Steve or anyone else intended.

Nyc One.

The guy's dead, get over it world. If they put this much effort into meaningful ventures such as war memorials and exhibitions, visitors might get their priorities straight and realise whats most important.

Where are the candles and incense?
Doesn't look like there is any place to kneel, either.
I wonder what that cost the country that's $17 trillion in debt?

Is this the same patent office that went panhandling to congress for funding recently? Nice to see that they are spending taxpayer money wisely!

By the way can anybody answer me y d hell people skeptical of apple or steve jobs visit this forum??:confused:

----------

I wonder if the actual inventor names appear on the patents.

There is no way Jobs invented 300 patentable items/processes.

Shame if the actualy geniuses weren't recognized.

Just because u have a nut-sized mind doesnt mean others cant do wonders.

One can have an interest in Apple, and Apple products, without partaking in the Cult of Jobs.

1) This is the Patent Office museum. Uh... They supposed to have war memorials there?
2) There was more effort put into this than there was the Vietnam or WW2 memorials? Uh... what?
3) We can't do memorials for dead people without comments like this? A few have already been pointed out. In addition... can you believe how stupid it is that in New Jersey, we have an ENTIRE MUSEUM dedicated to Edison? I mean, come on... shouldn't his old lab have been turned into a war memorial?

It takes a special kind of idiot to prove it to us so clearly in 1 sentence.

(related... WHY IN THE WORLD is there a PUBLICLY FUNDED museum in the US Patent Office at all??? We're $15 TRILLION in debt. Isn't it about time we make some decisions as to what the government does with the money it confiscates from me after I have earned it?)

Don't bother.

Well deserved!

This is very cool and well deserved! I'm going to make plans to go see it ASAP!
He changed the world, made it more fun and efficient! Made computers easy to use and showed the world what other things they could be used for, iPod, iPhone, iPad etc. He put quality and user experience first, the design and quality of any Apple product is always superior to any others!:apple:

His Apple retail stores business model is to me what all business' should strive to accomplish in customer service!:apple:

I have, and will, continue to be a great fan of Steve Jobs and Apple!:apple:

RIP S.J.

What a sleazeball. The guy didn't invent anything, didn't write any code but still managed to put his name on more than 300 patents

So in your mind being an inventor means being a coder?

My name can be found on 34 patents. Not the names of the in-house engineers or outside consultants I hired to run numbers, not the cad draftsman I hired to work on the CAD models, not the machinists I hired to work on the CAM programs, not the girl who cleans the toilets in the machine shop nor the marketing shlubs we hired to choose this years hot colors. The concept came from my imagination, so I'm the inventor, and it's my patent. Several of my more creative employees have been awarded patents of their own contributions.

We only patent things we're ready to produce and market, but I have a stack of over 2500 product designs in my vault. If I had Jobs' resources, and our industry moved as quickly as his, I'd have filed as many of those as possible too.

Yeah thats rite.
but how does always criticising apple or its former owner helps with it?

Funny you should mention that since Jobs himself highlighted criticism as a key quality of a good leader. Non-criticism environments generally lead to stagnation.

The USPTO is not a "publicly funded" agency. It does not spend a penny of your money. It is fully fee funded. Please do some research before unleashing your ignorance again.

I wonder how long an iPhone battery that large would last. Of course, you need to consider the giant screen as well I suppose. Let's just make a battery that large and then connect it to a normal size iPhone and see how long she'll run. That would be a fun experiment. Or perhaps a huge waste of time. Either way it will be interesting.

My Palm Treo 650 will still run for nearly a week without a charge :)
