I think he was implying that you got it illegally... not sure why people jump to conclusions. Anyhow, I haven't heard of anyone else having this issue, though I haven't bought it yet so I don't know. Maybe try to delete and re-download. Also, try to relaunch iBooks.

I have deleted it and tried again... re-launched ibooks seems one other person is having this problem too. I'm sure i'm not alone here. 😛

Worse comes to worst, you could try to convert it to a PDF in Calibre.

Regarding your first sentence, he already did that above - hence, read up.
Regarding your second sentence, he purchased it from the iBook Store. How in the world can he go and convert it to a PDF?

Looking good here on the 4S. I downloaded from iTunes on the Mac and synced to the phone, however. (Call me old-fashioned!)

I had to double click the home button and completely close iBooks, but it now works.

Sample vs Full Book? Could it be that iPhone does not have enough RAM? It's unlikely for the book should not take up that much RAM.

I had the same issue. What fixed it for me was to delete it from my iPad, downloading it again on iTunes on the Mac and syncing it over.

Yeah, I very nearly pre-ordered the Greek edition! 😱 Maybe that's the problem? The English version comes out fine on my devices.

I had the exact same problem.
double-tapping the home button, closing iBooks and opening it again, fixed it.

Got mine with amazon... I don't know why but i hate ibooks! Kindle app is the way to go!

I awoke this morning to find the SJ book (pre-ordered iBookstore) had downloaded automatically to my iPhone while I slept.

Views completely fine.
