It's best to stick with iOS6. I like the real life visualizations. Craig was talking they went flat in iOS7 because people already know how to respond to glass touch and do not need real life like buttons. What about the new users, small kids who will grow up. My daughter hates the iOS7 on iPod touch. Is there any way I could do go back to iOS6?????

How old are ur kids? If they are under 10, it will make me sad that I like IOS6 too but if they are teens am down with that. :D

She is 11. Time will tell but we love apple products. She has been pointing the difference between iPod touch iOS7 and my iphone iOS6. She is sad and I am taking the iPod to apple store. There has to be a way somehow. There must be someone, some genius who knows how to revert back to iOS6.

Are the apple leaders trying to prove that they are different from Steve's vision. Steve saw a part of him in Scott forstall, Ive, eddy cue, Schiller, cook and that's why he appointed them at apple. He wanted to model apple leadership on Beatles balanced team and there is a YouTube video on that statement. Maybe with Scott out that balance is gone.

Let us PRAY your sweet, sweet child somehow manages to get iOS 6 back.. Will life go on with just iOS 7? Time will tell.. But we PRAY

Sticking to iOS 6.1.2 on my 5 until I get a gold 5S, or a jailbreak hits 7.x.x... hoping I have a 5s by then. Same on my iPad, too, until a new jailbreak comes out. I'm patient, and there's nothing wrong with 6.x. ;) Sent from my iPad.

@Gonzangadynasty. Thank you for the kind words.

Maybe someone at apple store can guide me to someone email who can fix this. Even if I go for a new iPod touch for my daughter they will not allow iOS6. Maybe apple should give users the options about choosing iOS6 or iOS7.

I will say this, not sure how it happened but I was restoring my iPhone 5 that I had just updated to iOS 7 yesterday to sell it and I did a DFU mode restore and it restored iOS 6 on it instead of iOS 7. Still not sure how that happened but may be worth a shot.

Also the more your daughter uses it the more she will like it I think. It is just such a drastic change it takes some getting used to.

The OP could go back to iOS 6 if Apple is still signing it, but that's unlikely now.

I remember seeing a thread saying it was working the day after iOS 7 was released, not sure if it still is or not, but it can't hurt to try if the OP really wants to go back.

I upgraded to iOS7 and while I don't really care for it, there are several aspects which trump iOS6. Perhaps you need to give your daughter time to learn and adjust. It's what kids do best. I would not go backwards, I would see if she can learn the new system (and to be honest there isn't anything really "new" about it).

Apple is not signing iOS 6 anymore, so there is not a Genius in a world who could downgrade you to iOS 6 (unless you accidentally happen to run into Tim in one of the Apple stores and beg him to sign iOS 6 for one more day )

The you tube link I posted is not appearing in this thread. Do not why why its happening???

Folks, I want to stay on iOS6. are there any settings which I need to do so I do not automatically upgrade to iOS7.

If you come here looking for assistance you need to read the replies. You cannot go back to an older iOS. That is not how Apple works. Please listen to the replies to your thread. If you want more opinions just Google it.

Also, the behavior of iOS6 and iOS7 are the same. There is nothing greatly different. In regards to the link, you probably don't have enough posts to allow you to post links. These are safeguards placed by the site to prevent spammers and trolls.

Just don't go to settings -> general -> software update -> install now.

Also when you plug in your phone into your computer and it asks if you want to update to iOS 7 just say no.

This is assuming you aren't already upgraded to iOS 7. If you have upgraded to iOS 7 then there is nothing you can do.

Your daughter doesn't hate iOS 7, she hates change.

I'm sure in a few days she will be accustomed to it. :)

Thank you user name here for the reply. I will make sure that I do not accidentally update.
By the way took my daughter to the apple store, the genius there tweaked the backgrounds, the wallpaper, put some contrasting colors in the places my daughter wanted. According to her it's better now. Gave a suggestion to them atlleast allow the iOS version install as an option.

hopes she gets accustomed to the new version. Also the new iphone 5c pink color with the black border is a killer. It's gorgeous as per the ladies. Wish they could make it in iPod touch in the next iteration.
