Under Snow Leopard (OS 10.6.8), I frequently use the stickies, calendar and a scientific calculator as widgets in the Dashboard. It is fast, useful and efficient. I would like to have the same functionalities with Ventura. AFAIK, there isn't any or I can't see how to add/use these little apps. So is there a way to call widgets (more specifically stickies, calendar and a complete calculator) in Ventura?

I don't want a stickies/calendar/calculator apps in the dock. I need something that could be called instantly by a simple keystroke on the keyboard.

Cham,
Calendar is included in Widgets but Calculator & Stickies are no longer available.
I use BusyCal and there are many view options available for that app as well as Calendar.

I’m not on Ventura yet. Can you describe how the widgets are used in Ventura? How do you call them using a simple keystroke? And are there somthing similar to stickies?

And what is BusyCa? A calculator? Can you post a picture of what it’s looking like?

Click on the Time in the Menu Bar to show the Widgets or if you have a trackpad
swipe two fingers left on your trackpad to reveal the widgets.
There might be a couple of Widgets present to get you started and under them you'll see: Edit Widgets (click on that).
Select (+) for the Widgets that you want to add.
Swipe right to hide the widgets.

The closest thing to Stickies is Notes. You can export your Stickies to Notes: Stickies>File>Export All to Notes.

Can you add a scientific calculator to these widgets? What is BusyCal? And can you call them all with a single keystroke, instead of going to the time in the menu bar?

Unfortunately it doesn't look like Apple is allowing 3rd party Widgets like they did in the good 'ole days.
BusyCal, a 3rd party app, is Apple Calendar on steroids. If you're old enough you might remember Now Software's 'UptoDate' calendar program. BusyCal sort of 'took the reigns' from Now Software when they were put out of business by Apple.

There appear to be no keyboard shortcut's, at least that I've run across, that will show Notifications/Widgets.
I just use the three finger swipe, it's just as fast as a keyboard shortcut.

Well, that sucks! So if I understand well, there isn't widgets anymore? The calendar, calculator and stickies are extremely useful to me, especially since I could call them with a single keyboard touch. It's a shame that we can't do that in Ventura.

There are widgets and they're accessed and edited as I described above.
Well, I understood that part. Sorry about the confusion. But can you call your widgets set with a keybord stroke? Apparently not, and it sucks!

Widgets slide in with just a swipe on your trackpad. Swipe left from the right edge with two fingers.
This doesn’t answer the question. What if you don’t have any trackpad? Can you get the same result with the keyboard alone?

Yes you can. But if you don't have a trackpad, how will you interact with the computer? A mouse? You can also summon the widgets with a mouse.
