Sticky cursor key - covered by AppleCare?

My m3 15 inch mba has recently developed a sticky down arrow key.

Or rather I have to press it hard before I get a response from it ie it works, but not as intended.

I have AppleCare damage cover.

Q: Does anyone know if this sort of issue is covered by AppleCare?

I guess so, but the only way to be sure is to contact Apple.

Covered, sure.

Whether it’s covered as “warranty” coverage, or as damage with the deductible/tariff is the real question. Only Apple can answer that one.
