Sticky Icons ?

Just wondering if anyone knows how to prevent OS X from repositioning my drive icon on the desktop to the top right every time I log in? I like it on the top left, why cant they be understanding and loving?

I don't even show it on my desktop, it's easily accessible from the finder dock icon. I have no icons on my desktop.. I like it clean. After moving from a cluttered winblows desktop.
