I'm having the infamous "sticky keys" issue with my 2016 MBP TB, which I bought on the day it was released last year. There's a lot of controversy over these new keyboards: some people love them, and some people hate them. That's not what I'm interested in discussing here. Specifically, I want to know if people who've had the problem of keys sticking repeatedly have been able to resolve it by either 1) sending it to Apple for repair, or 2) getting a replacement unit. My question is whether some keyboards are defective, or whether this is simply a design issue and some people are more sensitive to it than others.

If you do answer the poll, please post a response and let us know whether you have a 2016 or 2017 MBP, and approximately when you bought it. Some have suggested that the 2017 keyboards are less prone to this problem, so I'd like to see if that's true.

I had the problem after 12 days of usage. immediately replaced it with 2017. after seeing many people going through many repairs and replacements with nothing fixed. i decided to go the short way. no problem so far on the 2017

I had mine repaired today at the Apple Store. It was my left shift key that was sticking and lost its click. They removed the key cover and cleaned it. Seems much better at the moment. Hopefully it will stay that way.
