I've had the Studio M2 for over a year now, warranty gone, but still operating fantastically.
No noise, no heat, massive number crunching to deliver Final Cut Pro and Logic files in super-quick time.
I am really impressed with this machine, well done Apple.

I've been with Apple since mid 1980's. There have been ups and downs but I am so happy to see that they live with a core belief - humans should not have to learn how to operate computers - computers should be designed to assist humans.

Bound to attract a few negative comments, but, there you go. Apple have done great things.

Have been useing Mac´s since 1988. Off all the models I like the Studio most, quiet, fast and small factor. I now have both the M1 Max Studio and just bought the M4 Max Studio. The M1 is still a fantastic computer, I will in the future use it mostly for technical drawings and the M4 for everything else. M1 is upstairs in my hobby room and M4 in my little home office. I wish Apple will keep up the good work in the coming future.

I jumped from a Mac mini m1, to a 2023, 64gb 1TB M2 Max, in 2024. Best Computer I have ever had. Too bad it's not that good in gaming. But the stability of it, sure beats all this blue screens in Windows. Keep it up Apple.

Using Mac since LCII. I agree in terms or stability. And my Studio M2 32/2to is dead silent most of the time. But I loved my PowerMac 8600 + AV display with SCSi disk tower and scan. It was the time of MacOS9, beOS and first releases of MacOS X. I’m still using my MacPro 3.1 2008 for hard disks repair, dvd copy, critical DB management (ECC ram), video (or other) card testing, Windows x86 tools.. so this one is the best Mac in my opinion.

If you're experiencing bluescreens on Windows then you have a hardware / driver issue. I can't recall the last time / system for which I experienced a blue screen. It's no longer a common issue in modern versions.

Yes, when Apple do good things they are really great.
Yeah, when the studio first came out, I was a doubting thomas - whats up with them rolling out a new desktop that's like a mini on steroids, but I will say that now that I have the M4 Studio, its the best computer I've had. it runs cooler, and faster then my PC, I have more desk space - even thoguh its larger, the studio is significantly smaller then a PC mini tower.

I use windows daily at work, and home, and I've not seen a BSOD in years. - if you're getting those consistently, then something's wrong with your pc. I also support PCs at my company, and they themselves are incredibly stable. Now windows has its own set of problems, including ads, lack of privacy, malware, etc but stability is not an issue

yeah windows is stable unless you game and really overclock the cpu or the gpu. Windows has been stable for most of window 10 and most of windows 11. Since I do not game much I always like Macs better. And Mac mini has been very good since 2014 models if you do lite duty work and do not push the cpu like mad.

Its not the gaming that causes instability, I game on my PC, and no issues. Its what you also put, overclocking. That can definitely cause instability. I prefer cool temps, quieter PCs over squeezing the most FPS out of my games, so I don't over clock my computers

I've been an Apple user since 1983 (Apple ][e), and an owner since 1988. I have been using my beloved Mac Pro 4,1>5,1 for the last 7 years (I have three of them), however I pried my wallet open and upgraded to a Mac Studio M4 Max last week - 1TB SSD.

Oh my gosh! 12 seconds to boot to Finder on the Studio, versus 6+ minutes on the cMP (including RefindPlus and then OpenCore screens). I simply did not realise how much I was labouring under my cMP.

The cost of getting the Studio has been quite a bit more than I had initially calculated. I didn't go into it blind - I just stopped adding it up in my head as I pressed purchase on a Acasis TBU405 Pro TB4 enclosure for my new Samsung 990 Pro 4TB M.2 SSD, a ZikeDrive Z666 USB 4 enclosure for a 2TB M.2 SSD (form my cMP) for my games hoard, a Raycue MiniPack to give me two more USB-A ports on the front and AppleCare. Quite a costly exercise all up. Not adding it up!

I also purchased CrossOver and have some games working really well. I believe I would have to purchase Parallels if I want to run some other AVX2 games on the Studio, so I'll hold onto my primary cMP for now because I can still play a stack of games with reasonable FPS under Windows 11 with my Sapphire Pulse RX590.

But I'm loving the quietness, grunt and grace of the Studio, plus Sequoia is fairly cool versus Sonoma, and Tahoe is just around the corner. And the cMP's room-heating capability means I don't need to crank up a heater (it's winter here in the Deep South of the Pacific). Just need to tidy up, reset and sell one of my cMP now to recover some of the cost of the Studio.

Yeah, its a slippery slope to be sure. I started my purchase analysis with getting a M4 Mini for 500 dollars, but I knew 256GB storage and 16GB of ram was too little, so if I'm spending that much, I might as well get the M4 Pro - which I bought at microcenter for 1200. Gaming on this wasn't ideal - at least some games, so I just bit the bullet and returned this and got the base model Studio. Tbh, its the best decision I made, very happy with it. I found the M4 Pro Mini to run fairly hot when using it, where as the Studio runs significantly cooler.

Same, I'm so surprised at how well CrossOver works - new and old games. The last time I tried CrossOver, Fallout 4 would not run on it at all, now it plays really well.

Same with my late 2022 64gb 1TB M1 Max. Thought about upgrading it twice - M2 and M4 - but the power and speed of the Studio is more than enough for what I work on.
Same here.

I had an Apple refurb M1 Mini 16 / 512 GB and decided to sell it when the Studio M1 Max 32 / 512 model first became avaiable.

I happened to get premium resale $$$'s on the Mini as there were none available on Apple's refurb site at that time.

Only thing that surprised me was how much more power the Studio draws. I had to upgrade my UPS because the old one died at the slightest power blip with the Studio.

It has been happily chugging along attached to the trusty old Caldigit TS3+ that I used with the M1 Mini before selling it.
