Got my 13" MBP on 4th feb and still loving it. Fits my needs perfectly and looks [sean connery]shexshy[/sean connery].

I bought my MPB 15'' late 2010, if all goes well I will get a new working laptop around 2017.
If my MPB works well, I will stick with apple for me and my family, including ipads, etc. If not, I will just go back to pc which are much cheaper and my expectations are lower.

Not if you use CUDA. Some processes in Photoshop with filters can be 8-9 times faster with a NVIDIA card :p

so CUDA is supported within OSX? I've only used it before in the M11x on certain CUDA supported encoding applications. Does PS support CUDA natively in osx and other applications? Thanks.

I got my 2010 15" MBP in mid November and would love the quad core 2011 but it took me several tries to get a hi res display that I loved and don't what to go through that again even if was able to sell mine for a reasonable amount. I have not heard if Apple is still using the same LG, Samsung hi res displays in the 2011. I am weird I guess, display trumps speed for me.

Which Hi-res antiglare is the better one? I just ordered an AG 2010 15" and would love to double check what I ended up with when it comes in.

In my opinion, I think the display model # 9CB7-Samsung looks better than the model 9CBB-LG. The colors at different viewing angles vary widely on the 9CBB and the colors look more washed out. Again, this may just be my preference, I don't see a lot of folks complaining about any of the AG screens.

Hello.
I recently went to Best Buy and had to choose between the 2011 MBP and their last 2010M MBP. Both were 15" and my decision might shock you.
I chose the 15"! and I am TRULY happy I did. Don't get me wrong, the 2011 is AMAZING and VERY impressive, but I just didn't need all the power it supplied. I officially switched from a Intel Pentium 4 Processor, 2 GB of RAM, 75GB (yes, 75 GB) Hard Drive, and a NVIDIA 7200 GS Graphics card. Needless to say, this Mac. rocks!

Has anybody else recently purchased and/or still rocking their 2010 MBP with pride? :)

You paid full price for an out of date product which you knew was end of life and has been replaced and was slower than the new model.

Good for you.

I also don't understand why you purposefully got he last gen?

I doubt he did, Best Buy had price drops on all their 2010's in my area. The baseline 2010 15" was $300 off.

My 2010 has more than enough power for my uses. No need to upgrade for years to come :D

Best Buy doesn't carry the high-rez versions of the 15" though right? Those can only be had from Apple?

I got a BTO MBP, 17", 512 SSD, 8 G RAM, 2.8 i7 at the end of November.
I feel pretty burnt considering the new 13" trounces this $4k machine.
I've never had the value of something vanish so quickly. I can't imagine
I could even sell it used at this point since you can get a better computer for $1200. It would have a 13" screen but for $300 you could buy a pretty nice desktop monitor for home use.

Your computer didn't get any worse as a result of another computer being better.
