iPhone 16/Plus Still no "always on" display and refresh rates >60 Hz ?

Hi all, I didn't follow the iPhone16 presentation yesterday and tried to find out if the 16 now comes with higher refresh rates above 60 Hz and offers an "always on" display? From the technical specification on the site I could not determine this.
Any clues for me, please?

I also believe that in less than one hour ago.

But since then, someone pointed me out something very strange: A number of "compare iPhone" apple international webpages mention Always on display for the regular iPhone 16:

while other don't:

sooooo...where is the truth?!
 
Other than speed and camera the screen refresh rate is prob the biggest reason to still get the pro right?

Its still crazy its gonna be 2025 and its still 60Hz but at least they kept the price the same.
 
Rumor is that iPhone 17 base model will get 120hz. That's the only reason I have the Pro phone today. Actually, I prefer the base model because it is aluminium which is less heavy. The Pro phones are crazy heavy compared to other brands

My $350 Pixel 8a has a 120hz screen

But it's a phone for work that just sits on my desk. I'd never switch to Android.

I just now checked it for the German link: it definitely says that the regular 16 does neither have ProMotion nor always on.

Indeed. It was an error from Apple. (I didn’t take a screenshot but I swear it mentioned always on earlier today)

I don’t understand how it is even possible lol but someone messed up.

Well my wife can't even see the difference between 60hz and 120hz. So it makes sense that the base model is still 60hz. Luckily, it seems to change next year starting with the iPhone 17 according to rumors

I have the same phone, I gotta admit it's pretty basic but it's reliable and google voice typing is really nice, I say "send" and it sends the message.

If Pixel can spice it up a bit they'll do better but it's too plain as is.

I only use GrapheneOS on the Pixel, so no special Google features.
